Masters Swimming
Did you know there are over 10,000 registered master swimmers in Canada belonging to 260 clubs?
Did you know regular exercise contributes to good health and swimming is considered by health professionals to be one of the best and safest ways to exercise?  It benefits the cardiovascular system, reduces cholesterol and has a positive effect on weight control, muscle tone, stress reduction and endurance.
From fitness swimmers, to competitive swimmers and triathletes everyone enjoy the benefits from swimming with a club. Currently there are two registered masters swim clubs on PEI. Summerside Masters which swim out of the Credit Union Place and Charlottetown Masters which swim out of the CARI complex.
Membership with a Masters Swim Club provides an opportunity not only to get fit, but also to meet new people, make new friends, compete in meets on and off Island. Masters Swimming adds fun and friendship to fitness.

This site allows you to track your metres, communicate with other swimmers, read up on other clubs, and see your results of meets held in Canada. When you are a registered master you have the ability to join other teams (if space permits) when traveling to other cities around the world and also take in their meets.
The Summerside and Charlottetown Masters Swim Club are organized programs promoting fitness for adults (18 years of age and older) through the sport of swimming. Club swimmers participate at all levels of ability, and swim for reasons ranging from general health and enjoyment, to competition at local, national and international levels.
Interested in joining the Masters Club?
Summerside- the club practices are Tuesday and Thursday from 6 - 7pm and Saturday from 7:00 - 8:30am from September until June.  (Location - Credit Union Place  511 Notre Dame St Summerside). Cost $4.00 per session or monthly and yearly memberships available from the front desk. After 3 visits a registration fee to the Summerside Masters Swim Club itself of $55 is due.
Charlottetown- the scheduled times are Monday & Wednesday 8:00-9:30pm. (Location CARI Aquatics Facility. 550 University Ave, Charlottetown, University of Prince Edward Island) Campus Cost $4.00/session; $36.00/10 sessions or $40.00/month (unlimited lane swim included)
